Safety routines
Arrival and pickup
A teacher hands each child to you at the room door. We keep a sign-in sheet and a pickup list, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.
Sleep
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cots, with nothing else in the cot. Older children rest on mats at the time each one needs.
Allergies
Tell us about any allergy at the tour. Once you enroll, we ask again in private.
Clean hands
Every room washes hands on arrival, before meals and after outdoor play.
Drills
Each room practices fire and weather drills with the teacher who leads it.

What the license means, in plain words
Storytime is licensed by LARA / MiLEAP, the Michigan agency that licenses child care centers. The license lets us care for up to 90 children from 6 weeks to 5 years, and the state sets how many adults each room needs.
You can check the license with the state. The number is at the bottom of every page, and we keep a copy at the front desk to show you at the tour.
Ask to see the license
Gillian answers questions about it at the tour, and you can ask to see it in person.
