A day here
A day in every room
Each room keeps this rhythm at its own pace.
- Early morning
Step 1: Arrival
The doors open at seven. A teacher meets each child at the room door, and you sign in at the front desk.
- Morning
Step 2: Circle time
A song, a story and a look at the day. The Infant room sings and rocks instead.
- Morning
Step 3: Play and learning
Blocks, paint, books and pretend play, chosen for each age, with a teacher at the table.
- Late morning
Step 4: Outdoor play
The fenced yard, when the weather allows. Each room takes its turn on the climber and in the sandbox.
- Midday
Step 5: Lunch
Children eat together at low tables. Tell us about any allergy at the tour.
- Early afternoon
Step 6: Rest
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cots, with nothing else in the cot. Older children rest on mats.
- Afternoon
Step 7: Snack and play
A snack, then more time outdoors or at the art table.
- Until 5:30 pm
Step 8: Pickup
A teacher hands each child to you at the room door. We're open until 5:30.
